Putting your own oxygen mask on first

12 Jun

Sionic Director Aran Dadswell has been invited to speak to the Women’s Executive Finance Forum on the impact of the COVID-19 lockdown on our mental health, as people and as professionals. This follows her earlier address to British Mensa members, and, with Sionic colleague Deborah Challinor, to the Armstrong Wolfe Women in the Global Chief Operating Officer Community

Aran’s session is entitled “Putting on your own oxygen mask first” and will focus on helping participants to address how to address your own stress in a threatening environment, before helping your colleagues and staff do the same.

This session will tell us what the psychologists are reporting about the impact that the pandemic and the lockdown are having on our mental health, and offer ideas on how to mitigate the cognitive impairment caused by a threat response, including practical takeaways such as emotion regulation techniques and a short mindfulness practice.

This is a private, by-invitation only event run for members of the Women’s Executive Finance Forum.
