Well known investment industry expert Ricky Maloney has joined global consulting firm Sionic from his previous post as Head of Buy Side Sales and Relationship Management – Fixed Income Derivatives, Funding & Financing at Eurex. Ricky joins as a Director in Sionic’s specialist Asset Management Practice, with a focus on expanding the firm’s reach across the buyside, including in North America.
Ricky Maloney served as Head of Buy Side Sales and Relationship Management – Fixed Income Derivatives, Funding & Financing at Eurex from 2018 – 2022, having previously been Eurex’s Head of Buy Side Sales and Relationship Management – Fixed Income Trading & Clearing from 2013 – 2016. From 2016 – 2018, he held senior roles at Old Mutual Investors and BNP Paribas, having spent his earlier career at Ignis, BNY Mellon, WalkerCrips and Mercury Asset Management.
Ricky holds a number of qualifications in blockchain, sustainable finance, crypto assets and financial technologies from Buffalo School of Management New York, Duke University, INSEAD and Erasmus University Rotterdam, and a BSc Hons in Business & Management Studies from the University of Sunderland. He is a regular media commentator, speaker and author on topics affecting the investment industry, including new and emerging areas such as ESG, crypto, nft, blockchain and digital assets.
