Sionic Partner and internationally-respected clearing expert Christian Lee speaks to Farah Khalique at the Financial Times’ Global Risk Regulator publication about new moves to strengthen client clearing services and porting practices.

Commenting on industry concerns about the move from the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI) and International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), Christian says:

“These client clearing models … are not particularly profitable. In fact, it’s probably fair to say they’re not profitable at all.”
