Sionic Doubles Geneva Wealth Management & Private Banking Team

Our specialist team is growing in response to client demand

Sionic has doubled the size of its senior team in Geneva in response to a rapid rise in demand for its services. The Geneva team is part of Sionic’s multi-award winning specialist Wealth Management & Private Banking Practice.

The Geneva team is led by Managing Partner Philip Biber, former Founding Partner of MBaer. Sionic’s senior team in Geneva now also includes operations specialist Nicolas Gillmann; technology expert Simon Lovett and legal specialist Diego Rodriguez Tellenbach, all of whom have joined in the last six months.

Sionic-Geneva lead Philip Biber says

“When we first established Sionic Geneva in November 2019, our focus was mostly on family office clients.  Since then, right through the pandemic and its aftermath, we have seen a continuous rise in demand for our services from a much wider range of clients, including global, domestic and private banks and asset managers, along with significant appetite for us to provide the full range of Sionic’s services, including in particular financial crime and control, risk, regulation, technology and change.

Added to that, the fact we are now part of the Davies Group has led to specific interest in our CX, digital and automation services. It’s clear that Geneva clients are not only determined to take advantage of the latest technological change, but also understand the need for transformation to be fully supported by expert legal, operational and organisational change expertise. And we are only too happy to help!”

Sionic CEO Craig Sher adds:

“I am very proud of the team that Philip has built.  Geneva is a world-leading centre of wealth management, and having a dedicated team that is locally-based and highly distinguished is a real asset. We are all excited by their achievements already – and keen to see what happens next.”
