Finance functions move from guardianship to value creation

This week’s Sionic-New York CFO dinner is the first in a series for senior finance professionals exploring important topics in the company of peers

Sionic Managing Partners Diane Cenci and Harjinder Sidhu are set to welcome senior CFO guests to our Sionic New York private dinner this Thursday, 12 March 2020. The theme of the evening is the future of the finance organisation as it makes the strategic journey from guardianship to value creation. Joining the debate is Pete Stone, Sionic’s chief strategy officer and an expert in banking leadership and change.

Diane Cenci comments

“Banks are under huge pressure to increase efficiency and effectiveness in a highly regulated environment. That places the finance organisation right at the centre of a complex matrix of processes, operations and relationships. At Sionic, we believe it’s essential for senior officers to be able to take a truly strategic view of what that means for their firm, their function – and their own approach to leadership in times of challenge, opportunity and above all, change.”

Harjinder Sidhu says

“As industry insiders, we know exactly how it feels to be the CFO – and what it takes to deliver.  One of Sionic’s specialisms is being able to combine that first hand experience and technical expertise with industry-leading skill in leadership and change. We’re delighted that Pete Stone will be joining our guests to add his insights to the evening as we look at finance’s journey from ‘guardian’ to real value creator. It should be a lively discussion!”
